Creative Burst Exercises for Busy Times

Header: Quick tools to get unstuck, spark ideas, and make something—even when time is short.

⚡ 1. Micro-Memoir or Flash Fiction (5–10 minutes)

Pick an emotion or moment. Write a 100-word scene that captures it.
Try:

  • “The moment I felt completely out of place.”
  • “The first time I knew I was good at something.”

📝 Tip: Set a timer. Let it flow.

🎨 2. 5-Senses Brain Dump (7 minutes)

Choose a real or fictional setting. Write one sentence for each of the five senses (sight, sound, touch, smell, taste).
Then, expand one into a paragraph or poetic image.

📝 Tip: This is a great warm-up before writing or designing.

🔥 3. Creative Stack List (5 minutes)

List 5 things that inspired you this week—snippets of conversation, colors, textures, lyrics, memories.
Then write 3 ways you could use those elements in your next creative project.

📝 Tip: Try this as a Monday or Sunday ritual to stay inspired.
